Woodrige fatal accident cause by snowy conditions
According to authorities, the bad weather on Saturday was to blame for a two car accident killing one of the drivers. The victim, a woman, was driving in the southbound lanes of the Stevenson Expressway near west suburban Woodridge, IL.
Due to the conditions of the road, she lost control of her car, hitting the concrete median. The car richocheted off the wall and back into traffic. The car was then struck by another vehicle which sustained heavy damage.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where she was pronounced dead about an hour after the accident.
The identity of the the dead woman is being withheld and the crash remains under investigation.
